Knox has a cut under his eye and is bleeding a little profusely for such a short match. I’m not sure when or how that happened. Knox leaves the ring, bleeding and smiling but the referee has to make Benjamin leave the ring while Kingston is still down on the mat.

The announcers show the footage of how Knox got a cut by his eye. It appeared that an elbow blow by Kingston started it.

Winner: Chavo Guerrero with a roll up

I haven’t had too much to say lately about ECW matches but this one was worth watching. Even when Chavo Guerrero cheats, he does it so well you tend to forgive him. Punk has always done a great job in the ring when given the chance. He and Guerrero managed to keep this one-hour time slot alive.

April 22, 2000, Tommy Dreamer wins the ECW Championship.
