-Tonight, Mike Dibiase is in action, Brent Albright vs. Oliver John, and a special appearance by NWA Champion Blue Demon Jr.

NWA Tag Team Championship:
The Skullcrushers © vs. The Cutler Bros.
The Cutlers are Brandon and Dustin, and appear to be almost identical twins. A short pretaped promo airs, they feel confident heading into this potential slaughter. The Skullcrushers attack as the bell rings, tossing one Cutler to the floor. Keith Walker chops the legal Cutler and begins making quick tags with Rasche Brown. Brandon Cutler springboard drop-kicks into the ring to save Dustin from a fall away slam. Double shoulder block by the Skullcrushers. They nail the Power Line (without botching it this week) to retain the titles at 1:46. Why are all these jobbers getting title shots? ½*.

-David Marquez interviews the Skullcrushers in the ring. Brown puts themselves over as the next greatest thing in professional wrestling. They call out the Young Bucks, who are nowhere to be seen initially. Walker threatens to hunt down the Bucks and scalp them. Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch storm the ring and brawl with the Skullcrushers. The ring fills up with assorted wrestlers, all of whom are attempting to stop the fight.

NWA North American Championship:
“The Legacy” Mike Dibiase © vs. Johnny Goodtime
Johnny Goodtime’s gimmick is that he’s a hardcore gamer and Dibiase is a Randy Orton clone. Dibiase dominates in the early going, not wasting time going for a chinlock. Goodtime comes back with kicks to the leg. Goodtime blocks a snapmare but Dibiase pummels him to the corner. Snapmare by Dibiase sets up another chinlock. Quick roll-up by Goodtime gets 2. Snapmare by Dibiase sets up yet another chinlock. Cover by Dibiase gets 2. Goodtime chops Dibiase into the corner. Goodtime punches in the corner and nails a springboard drop-kick for 2. Dibiase uses his leverage to throw Goodtime to the floor. Dibiase pursues but Goodtime rolls him back to the ring. Dibiase stomps and hits a big clothesline. Cover by Dibiase gets 2. Desperate back suplex by Goodtime. Goodtime is a house on fire. Weird looking slam by Goodtime gets 2. Suplex by Goodtime sets up a top rope leg drop, but it misses. Dibiase nails The Legacy (basically an RKO) and nails the Million Dollar Dream legsweep for the win at 7:55. I’m surprised Dibiase didn’t try hitting a punt to the head, *¼.

-It’s time for a very special interview with Blue Demon Jr. David Marquez asks him about his next match. Before he can answer, C. Edward Vanderpyle and Joey Ryan interrupts. The crowd chants “Joey” as Vanderpyle accuses Demon of ducking Adam Pearce. Instead, in two weeks we will see Blue Demon Jr. vs. Joey Ryan for the NWA title. Ryan lists off everywhere he’s wrestled and his accomplishments. Demon isn’t backing down (too bad the crowd doesn’t seem to like him very much).

Ninja Vigilante IV s. Terex
Terex is an obese Samoan with a giant tattoo on his stomach. Ninja Vigilante looks like he escaped from a Mortal Kombat game. Terex no sells some shots and nails a chokeslam. A big splash finishes the ninja around the 30 second mark. Looks like we can expect to see more of Terex, DUD.
Winner: Terex

Oliver John (with Nathan Rulez and Derrick Sanders) vs. “The Shooter” Brent Albright
John ducks out of the ring while Albright makes his entrance. I’m not sure why Albright would expect this match to go down any differently than either of his matches against Rulez and Sanders last week. The bell rings and John continues to stall at ringside. Albright finally loses his patience and pursues John around ringside. Back to the ring, Albright nails a back suplex for 2. Albright dumps John back into the ring the hard way. Front headlock by Albright. John fights out and chops. Albright reverses an Irish whip and nails a back body drop. The fight heads to ringside, where Albright has to fight off all the Boarder Patrol members. Back to the ring, Albright nails a clothesline, but John flees to ringside. John returns, walking into a reverse Neckbreaker for a near fall. More chopping by Albright and a hard Irish whip for 2. Albright works the head. Albright back drops John to the floor. Springboard cross body block by Albright wipes out the Boarder Patrol. The Boarder Patrol lays a 3 on 1 beat down, leading the referee to FINALLY toss Rulez and Sanders from ringside.

We’re back from a commercial, and John is now in control of Albright in the ring. John works a chinlock. Albright escapes but runs into a clothesline for 2. Scoop slam on the floor by John. John attempts a slam but Albright counters with a back body drop. They trade chops. Back to the ring, Albright clubs the head for 2. Another chinlock by John. Big boot and knee drop for 2 by John. Head butt off the ropes by John for 2 on a rope assisted cover. More chinlock goodness by John. Albright comes back with a flying clothesline. Albright finds his second wind, dominating John. A series of suplexes can’t put John away. Sleeper by John. Albright rams his way out, accidentally wiping out the referee in the process. Albright gets a cover but the ref is knocked out. The Boarder Patrol return and beat down Albright. They leave John on Albright, who gets a cover for 2.9. Flying head butt by John misses. Albright locks in the arm breaker and John taps out at 16:37 (shown). Match had it’s moments, but was really plodding for the most part, **.
Winner: Brent Albright

Final Thoughts: This was a bit more enjoyable than last week’s stinker, but there are still a lot of problems. First, ripping off the WWE ring style isn’t going to do them any favors, partly because most of these guys aren’t talented enough to pull it off right. It also doesn’t work in front of a crowd that really needs to be wowed if they are going to give a damn about any of these guys. Second, they need to do something different with Blue Demon Jr. It’s not just that he isn’t over, but that the crowd seems to actively dislike him. So far they haven’t been given any reason to care about him other than that he’s the World champion. I’d say a heel turn would have to take place, because the crowd clearly favored Joey Ryan in their segment.
